• cal. 722-1 manual winding nickel lever movement, 17 jewels, mono-metallic balance • gilt dial, three black subsidiary dials indicating constant seconds, 12-hour and 30-minute register, outer black chapter ring for chronograph tracking • black bezel calibrated for tachometer scale, two push down chronograph buttons to the band, screw-down crown, presentation engraving to the screw-down case back • case, dial and movement signed

Condition

Movement running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time and may need service at the buyer's discretion. Movement in good working order however may require service in the future. Dial in good condition. Case has minor scuffs on the case back, underneath the lugs, and to the rotating bezel. Case back is mongrammed with "All my Love 06-12-70 Sue". The strap of this watch contains endangered species; please see Important Notices for further information.

The present lot is particularly rare as most Daytonas were made in stainless steel. Pieces in yellow gold, such as the present lot, are coveted by collectors of important vintage Rolex wristwatches.
