Catalogue Note

With a fascimile from Cartier confirming production of the current watch in a series of 12 pieces signed by Theresa Braxton, an archivist at Cartier, London for a decade.

The present Cartier watch has London hallmarks on the inside caseback dated to 1971. This form of 'Rond' wristwatch was made in extremely limited numbers dating back to the 1960s. Of the four known examples the present watch distinguishes itself by having a separate bezel in white gold.

For an all white gold example see Patrizzi, White Cartier, 2006, ill. 37.
