Description

  • A Rare Yellow Gold Wristwatch with Date Mvt 38619 Case 38619 Made in 1928
  • yellow gold and calfskin strap clearly marked on the strap
  • diameter 30 mm, thickness 9 mm
• cal. 10GHSM manual winding nickel lever movement, 18 jewels • silvered dial, applied baton indexes with Arabic numeral 12, inner chapter ring with additional hand indicating date, subsidiary seconds • 18k yellow gold case, downturned lugs, snap on case back • case, dial, and movement signed

Condition

Movement running at time of cataloguing, however it was not tested for the accuracy of time and may need service at the buyer’s discretion. Dial shows signs of spotting due to age. The minute and date hand are both slightly bent, however are still in working order. Date pusher is in working order. Case in good condition except for minor signs of wear and scuffs on the case back. The strap of this watch contains endangered species; please see Important Notices for further information. Please note that the present lot is not accompanied by an Extract from the Archives, however Audemars Piguet has confirmed the manufacture of this watch in 1928 and it's sale to Metric Watch.
