  • AN 18K YELLOW GOLD HUNTING CASED MINUTE REPEATING GRANDE SONNERIE CARILLON CLOCKWATCH FOR THE SOUTH AMERICAN MARKETCIRCA 1896

  • diameter 55 mm.
• highly jeweled, nickel lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, two train movement wound alternately, striking on three hammers, button repeat • glazed and gold cuvettes, the latter engraved with details of the movement • white enamel dial, Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds, the rim fitted with a lever for strike choice engraved Silencio/Repeticion, the case finely engraved with tied foliate swags and leafage against an engine-turned ground • the dial, cuvette and case signed 

Condition

Movement- repeat is complete, however not striking , the hands are hung up and therefore the time should not be changed, movement is running, minor pitting to plates, Dial- is unmarked and in good condition, Case case lids are remarkably well preserved, areas of scratches from opening , substantial case weight, even the hinges are wonderfully tight
