  • A GOLD ENAMEL AND PEARL-SET QUARTER REPEATING SCALLOPED FORM WATCHCIRCA 1800
  • gold, enamel, seed pearls
  • diameter 51 mm
• gilt verge movement, bridge pierced and engraved with foliate scrolls, pendant repeating • white enamel dial, Arabic numerals • the case with scalloped bezel decorated with champlevé black enamel and gold foliate scrolls edged by blue enamel and set with split pearls, the back panel engine-turned and engraved with running floral motif overlaid with translucent red enamel and centered by a rosette medallion with translucent blue enamel over engine-turning and set with graduated split pearls

Condition

Red enamel likely restored blue appears original with some small chips, the black enamel with some losses, the back panel is also loose and as a result the sound of the repeat is off. the back will need to be refitted securely, currently repeating out of phase.
