Catalogue Note
The fine watercolours show sappers, mining, plans of defences and buildings, military formations, effects of explosions, profiles, batteries, and plans of identified town/city citadels (Strasburg, Arras, Lille, Casal, St Martin, Ile de Ré). Whilst the first volume is attributed to Vauban, the second includes plans by Vauban, Coehorn and Pagan. They probably date from the first half ot the eighteenth century.
