Catalogue Note

The Suite is an almost entirely original sea-atlas of the world outside Europe, much of it taken from unpublished Portuguese materials, conceived as a supplement to Jaillot and Mortier's pirate edition of the French Admiralty's Neptune Francois, with which it is often bound.

The charts, mostly on two-sheets in elephant folio format, include the important sequence of charts of North America from English sources: Eastern North America, Chesapeake Bay, the Carolinas and South Carolina, as well as a fine chart of the Pacific.
