Catalogue Note

A rare set of images (overall with good dark tones), including views of the Imperial Summer Palace, interior and exterior views in the Forbidden City, group shots of European and Chinese officers, an uncommon image of the Ordnance Survey lithographic press in Beijing, and various views of buildings (including the railway station) destroyed by the Boxers.
