Catalogue Note

This set of three volumes is interesting in that volume one has an additional 21 maps normally found in volume four. This includes maps of Asia, Europe and Africa, Zatta's version of John Mitchell's map of the English and French colonies (1775) in twelve sheets with insets of Bermuda and Jamaica and maps of the Pacific and New Zealand. With the unusual ordering of the maps in the volumes it is possible that this atlas was made to order and complete as it stands.
