Oblong folio (303 x 400mm.), over 200 photographs (various sizes from 65 x 65mm. to 365 x 288mm., or the reverse), on 27 card mounts, recto and verso, together with approximately 125 later family photographs (1950s) on 5 mounts, recto and verso, various processes including albumen, platinum, and high gloss gelatin silver prints, 14 blank leaves, early twentieth-century black half morocco, upper corners with initials "A.M.F." and "India" stamped in gilt, some fading and scattered spotting

According to a note, this album was compiled by Mrs A.M. Furness (a housekeeper at Blenheim Palace), during a period of service in India. The photographs, both professional and amateur, show various groups of Indian and British dignitaries (including Lord Curzon and royal figures), views in Delhi, Simla, Benares and elsewhere.
