Catalogue Note

This album was compiled by Noelle Evelyn Campbell Stewart (d.1955), daughter of General Sir Richard Campbell Stewart (d.1904), who spent her childhood in Burma in the late 1880s and 1890s. In addition to the c.21 commercially available photographs by Beato and others, the photographs include professional photographs of the Campbell Stewart family, their house in Burma, military groups, etc.
