Condition
This rich, early print, on double-weight paper with a surface sheen, is in generally excellent condition. A fine patina of silvering is visible, primarily in the black margins. In raking light, a 1½-inch deposit of indeterminate nature and fingerprints are visible near the left edge of the print. A ½-inch crescent shaped crease that does not appear to break the emulsion is also visible in raking light below the sitter's chin. The margin corners are bumped, and there is minor wear at the edges.
The reverse of the print is very lightly soiled.
