Catalogue Note
Third Latin edition with a handsome title-page border by Hans Springinklee, a pupil of Dürer. Most of the thirteen books of the Revelationes were written by St Bridget herself, in Sweden, Rome (between 1349 and 1342) and the Holy Land, where she went as a pilgrim from 1372-1373. Book XI was written by St Bridget and Magister Petrus Olavi in Rome and book IX was compiled after her death and canonisation.
