Catalogue Note
Only the first item appears in the Kloss catalogue, so presumably the last two items were added into the binding later by Mendham. All three papal bulls refer to the excommunication of various heretics (with particular mention, in the case of the 1523 bull, of Martin Luther) and the role of the pope in retaining the purity of the church. We have not been able to trace another copy of this edition of the bull by Hadrian VI. Of the first item only five other copies are recorded.
