folio (314 x 198mm.), printed in red and black throughout, woodcut initials and illustrations, typeset music, 2 leaves of the Canon of the Mass on vellum with a full-page illustration, seventeenth-century English mottled calf, text relating to St Thomas a Becket and the word "papa" crossed through, lacking 7 leaves of text (+1-3 (title-page and start of calendar), a1 (start of text), [1]D7, [1]F6 and [1]I2), [1]A3 repaired at foot (not touching text), small section of text excised from head of [1]B2, [1]B6 repaired at foot (just touching text), rebacked, extremities rubbed
