Condition

The painting is in overall moderately satisfactory conservation. It has been relined with wax in the second half of the 20th century. The paint surface is above a light preparation this is why the texture his slightly in the structure of the canvas. We can see some worn areas in the brown parts specially at the right side of the work. The network of cracks is slightly pronounced an visible to the naked eye. Under UV lamp: Under a thick green varnish partially cleaned in the characters. There is a restoration above the head of the young boy and three smaller in the lower right corner. Minor small retouching in the jacket of the boy, the sole of the pink shoes and in the hairs of the girl.
