Description

- Le Turc amoureux
- Huile sur toile dans un ovale peint
Condition
The painting is in overall good condition.
It has been relined a bit too strongly there is about fifty years. This restoration has slightly fatten the painted surface.
It has been cleaned, probably during the same restoration. This cleaning has slightly worned the paint surface but the painting remains perfectly readable.
It is under a dirty varnish.
Under UV light:
There is green varnish which has been partially removed on the two central figures.
We can notice restoration in the two lower corners. Some small retouching in the foliage on the upper left. The structure of the house and the fence on the left as well as the fence and the oval on the right has been underlined. We can notice some small retouching in the coat of the child on the left.
