Condition
The painting is in overall good condition.
It has been relined, less than ten years ago, a bit too strongly and the paint surface is slightly compressed.
The painting is under un uniform and very dirty varnish which needs to be removed.
There are some small vertical restorations and small dots of retouching above the angel on the left.
Under UV lamp:
The painting is under a green thick varnish. We can see the restoration previously mentioned. Some very delicate retouching, one in the lower left corner, one vertical in the lower centre and a last one in the lower part of the group of characters. Some very thin and punctual retouching in the pink drapery of the central character and in the sky along the edge of the upper part of the frame.
