Condition

The painting is in moderately satisfactory state of conservation. It has been properly relined in the second half of the 20th century. It has been clean a bit too much, the dark parts are used, particularly in the background, probably due to this intervention. The characters and the still life are well preserved. Under UV light: Under a thick, green and uniform varnish. They are some light ponctual retouching in the face of the girl and in her body. They are some retouching on the page of the book in the lower right corner. We can notice a small retouching in the noze of the man and in his hand.
