Condition
The painting is in overall good condition.
It is under a very old and dirty varnish.
It has been relined, a bit too strongly, about 30-40 years ago. This operation slightly press the paint surface.
We can notice a restored tear of about 10 centimetres going from the hat of the little girl to the left.
There is a little restoration under the right sleeve of the girl.
Under UV light:
The painting is under a green thick varnish which has been cleaned on the bird, the girl, her white dress and the bird cage.
The restoration previously mentioned, probably very old, are not visible under the UV light.
