Condition
Very good condition for an object of this type and age. Shallow circular depression on top of the head possibly from previous attachment, now patinated over. Marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions, and small chips. Extraordinarily fine lustrous reddish-brown patina. Fiber dry and frayed. Dog's teeth with glossy aged patina. Underside fitted with a metal pin for attachment to a modern wood plinth. Underside of figure with a white inventory number now abraded and illegible. Plinth with Merton D. Simpson Gallery inventory number: "4075".
