Condition

Pile generally low to knotheads and foundation overall. Red silk wefting showing on face. Metal thread oxidized to brown-gray and silk core. Upper end of field with small approximately 1x1" L-shaped reweave. A small nickel-sized repair at center of field. Scattered stains with the most visible stain in upper left corner. Original copper red silk selvages with losses and some later overcasting. Ends with remnants of original metal thread and brown finish, now trimmed. Sophisticated design which still reads well, in respectable condition for type and age.
