- clay
with concave base, flaring sides and tapering neck, painted in dark brown against a cream slip, with pairs of scrolling devices, possibly capped spirals, enclosed by serrated and hatched bands, and other typical geometric and foliate designs, the rim painted with feather motifs; the lower section and interior rim painted in a deep burnished orange slip.

Condition
Black light reveals minor in-painting on the surface of the jar. There is no evidence of plaster. Overall condition is good with typical wear for age including minor abrasions and fading of the design elements.
