after a design by Alexandra Shchekotikhina-Pototskaia, the cavetto painted with a couple winding thread, the cobalt blue borders with scrolling ciselĂ© gilt foliage, birds and bands, the border gilt-signed A. Shchekotikhina, the reverse with black factory mark and dated 1925, also with green Imperial cipher for Nicholas II and dated 1903

Condition

Excellent restored condition. There was previously a large loss that has been successfully restored. The gilt leaves at the edges now worn revealing green undercoating, visible in the printed catalogue illustration.
