the cavetto realistically painted with a member of Pavlovsk Life-Guards Regiment with two mounted officers in the background within a gilt border impressed and ciselé with the Imperial arms and laurel leaves, the reverse titled in Cyrillic, from a painting by V.V. Mazurovskii, signed N. Kirsanov, also with green imperial cipher of Nicholas II and dated 1908, with red coldpainted obscured inventory marks

Excellent condition with only very minor abrasions to the gilding.
