the cavetto painted with a private from the Libavskii State Infantry Battalion holding a rifle over his left shoulder, the gold ciselé border centred with an Imperial eagle surrounded by laurel leaves, the reverse titled in Cyrillic from a painting by V.V. Mazurovskii, signed D. Tyulyakhtin, also with green imperial cipher for Nicholas II and dated 1909, with red coldpainted inventory marks reading N4752 UA R40

Excellent condition with only very minor abrasions to the gilding.
