the lobes repoussé with rocaille scrolls, the stem cast as a bearded man, his loin cloth with flowers, Imperial eagle finial, struck with unidentified maker's mark VD (Cyrillic), unidentified assay master MG (Cyrillic)

Condition

Generally good condition, the lid somewhat illfitting, the finial possibly later. Maker's mark VD, recorded 1741-1753; assay master MG, recorded 1752-1771
