surface disrupted on one side below frieze, crest removed? nice pale lemon gilding lightly rubbed at high spots; otherwise crisp, good condition

A portrait of Louisa Courtauld by Zoffany is reproduced in E. Alfred Jones, Some Silver Wrought by the Courtauld Family, Oxford, 1940. Grimwade, in London Goldsmiths 1697-1837, p. 474 notes "Her work... shows in the main, well executed classical motifs in the decoration of cups and coffee-pots." A similar cup is at the Victoria and Albert Museum, illustrated Robert Rowe, Adam Silver, p. 19, described p. 39-40.
