realistically painted, the oklad chased and repoussé, with half columns along the border and halo enameled in polychrome cloisonné and with applied champlevé plaques, with Cyrillic maker's mark S.G, probably for Semyon Galkin, Moscow, 1899-1908, 84 standard

some wear to enamel, particularly at corners of borders and on Gospels, the oklad edges with some splitting and denting
