on four scroll feet decorated with shells flanked by acanthus and supporting a square plinth with cut corners and partly lobed circular base, the lower body chased with gadroons below an engraved later monogram and large vine form handles terminating in foliage, the spout formed as a bird head and neck and with carved ivory handle,  conforming domed cover with detachable bud finial, the interior fitted with a silver sleeve for a heating rod
