Catalogue Note
Although this set is unmarked, the complexity of the shapes and decoration suggest that it is one of the works in the Russian Style produced at the Imperial Glass Manufactory after designs by architects like Ippolit Monighetti or Viktor Gartman. Both architects produced several designs utilizing complex shapes such as the kvasnik-decanter as well as applied glass beads similar to those decorating this set. See, for comparison, T. Malinina, Imperatorskii stekliannyi zavod, XVIII-nachalo XX veka, St. Petersburg, 2009, pp. 253-260.
