the handle enamelled blue over a guilloché ground with chased gold foliate border, with a gold sleeve engraved with initials, 56 standard, assayer's initials obscured, contained in leather sleeve

attractive and a good weight; the gold sleeve possibly to repair a break; the enamel with some wear at edges
