- gold, diamonds, enamel, miniature on ivory
- Length 3 1/2 in.; 9 cm
rectangular with undulating sides, the cover set with a portrait miniature of a lady wearing the badge and sash of the Order of St. Catherine and a diamond star in her hair, probably one of the daughters of Emperor Nicholas I, the portrait surrounded by diamonds with four more diamonds mounted on blue enamel at the corners, the body chased with scrolls, foliage, and foliate ornament, the flange engraved Kam no. 1998, apparently an inventory number of the Kamenoovstrovsky Palace, struck with Latin initials IG, probably for Jacob Grauwinkel
