Condition
The paper has discoloured. There are circular stains of varying sizes in the untreated area of the sheet, around the edges of the figure. There are three minor tears to the sheet approximately 2cm above the head of the sitter, on the right hand side. Held in a wooden frame under glass. Unexamined out of frame.

Catalogue Note
Prince Felix Yusupov settled in Paris with his family after emigrating from Russia. He was a friend of the present owner's grandfather and is thought to have offered this portrait to him during the 1930s or 1940s when they were both living in the city.
