  • signed in Cyrillic, inscribed and indistinctly dated 1917 on the reverse, further bearing Mir Iskusstva stamps numbered 134/9+ N6 and 134/9+ N4
  • gouache and watercolour on cardboard

Condition

There is wear and some minor losses to the corners of the cardboard and the edges of both works. The paper has discoloured due to age. The view of Kerki has a tear in the lower left corner, approximately 2cm in length. There are some pin holes near the top edge. Some minor foxing and staining is visible in the lower right hand corner. The view of Bukhara has losses to all four corners and a small tear to the upper left corner. The lower edge of the cardboard shows some creasing and nicks, and there is a small area of loss in the centre of the edge. There is a very minor hole in the top layer of the cardboard in the area of dark paint underneath the tree on the right.
