Condition

One is oil cardboard. There are some ares of craquelure and creasing. The surface is covered in a layer of varnish and is a bit dirty. Under UV pigment fluoresces around the edges and in the grass area, though varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. The other is oil on paper laid on cardboard. The edges are worn and there is minor paint loss. The upper right and lower left corners and the left edge are fragile to the touch, and are worn. The left edge especially should be reviewed by a restorer in order to stabilize future possible paint loss and more wear to the work. The edges of the paper have minor paint loss, and there is a layer of surface dirt and discoloured varnish. There are some minor scratches to the surface. Under UV pigment fluoresces around the edges and in the center above the horizon line, though varnish prevents a conclusive analysis.
