one monkey with restoration to right arm and left hand The other with chip to end of left hand. Minor flaking to enamels.

A miniature monkey of this model is illustrated by Rückert (1966), pl. 264, no. 1063, who cites Kändler's work records for July 1735: 'Einen Tobacks Stopffer in Gestalt eines kleinen Affens, wie er auf einem Postament sitzet' [A pipe tamper in the form of a small monkey seated on a pedestal].
