A billy goat of this model is illustrated by Rückert (1966), no. 1168, where on page 202 an entry in Kändler's work records for September 1742 is noted: '1 Ziegen Bock, 6 Zoll hoch aufs Waaren Lager in Thon poussiret, und ist solcher sehr mit großen Hörnern gehend vorgestellet' [1 billy goat, 6 Zoll high, modelled in clay for the warehouse and presented with large horns in motion].
