modelled by J. J. Kändler, each with brown markings, running to right or left, supported on a tree stump and mound base applied with flowers and leaves, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue (minor restoration)

Dog facing right- restoration to upper part of right front leg.
Dog facing left- restoration to right upper part of right fore leg.
Both with minor losses to applied flowers and leaves.

Kändler's Taxa for 1740-44 lists 'Hund auff einem Rasen sehr dürre, dass alle Knocken zu sehen, ein Wind-Spiel vorstelland, vor den Herrn von Bilow.2.Thlr. 8 g' [Dog on grass, so emaciated that all the bones can be seen, depicting a greyhound for Herrn von Bilow. 2 Thlr. 8 g.] Two similar examples are illustrated by Albiker (1959), nos. 190 and 191.
