Description

  • giltwood, beechwood
  • each 30cm. high, 16.5cm. wide, 14.5cm. deep; 11¾in., 6½in., 5¾in.
each with a bowed top above an egg and dart frieze and fluted inward curved stem with stylised Greek-key handles suspending a berried laurel swag above a gadrooned border and berried leaf carved finial

Condition

In overall good condition. Wear to gilding and some minor chips as visible from the catalogue photograph. There is a hairline construction crack where the top joins the frieze but this can easily be filled or left. One has a metal fixing and both have two holes drilled in the top where there was previously a fixing.
