The complete set, comprising four screenprints in colors, 1982, each signed in pencil, inscribed 'HC III/III', one of six hors commerce impressions, three of which inscribed in Roman numerals, aside from the numbered edition of 100 (total edition includes 22 artist's proofs), on Lenox Museum Board, with the printer's blindstamp, Rupert Jasen Smith, New York, published by Editions Schellmann & Klüser, Munich, Germany and New York, and Denise René/Hans Mayer, Düsseldorf, and with their inkstamp on the verso, each framed (4 prints)

Condition

The sheet edges shaved, otherwise in good condition. The publisher's inkstamp on each verso has run and faded. Additional imperfections in the individual sheets are as follows: F. 270: There are three lines drawn in pencil: across his lower lip, in his chin, and a vertical line toward the right edge of his hat. F. 271: There are a few minor surface scuffs in the purple at lower right, a shallow ink loss in the blue at the right edge has been touched-in. There is pale damp stain at the lower left sheet edge verso. F. 273: A soft handling crease at the upper left corner and another at lower right have caused hairline cracks in the ink surface. The lower sheet edge verso with pale damp stain.
