Soft-ground etching printed in light olive-brown, c. 1889, initialed in pencil, a rare intermediate proof printed between the first and second states (not recorded by Breeskin), printed with the tone of the soft-ground at the lower section but without the outline of the vase and before the table was drawn and the subject’s features reworked, on Van Gelder Zonen wove paper

Condition

With wide margins, in good condition apart from pale light- and mat-staining. A minute circular pin hole in upper margins.
