Description
- Andy Warhol
- Flowers (F. & S. 64-73)
- each sheet 915 by 915 mm 36 by 36 in
The complete portfolio, comprising ten screenprints in colors, 1970, each signed in ball-point pen on the verso, stamp-numbered 4/250, published by Factory Additions, New York, on wove paper (10 prints)
Condition
The full sheets, with fresh colors, and in good condition. Each sheet with a thin Japan hinge on top of the numbering verso. The color at the extreme sheet edges is very slightly brighter, as the edges were covered under the lip of prior frames.
Extremely minor imperfections in the individual sheets follow:
F64 - Slight rubbing at the extreme sheet edges at the corners.
F65 - The extreme sheet corners at the right slightly softened.
F66 - A tiny crease at the extreme upper right sheet corner and a soft, diagonal handling crease at lower left corner, visible only in a raking light.
F67 - A minute hairline crack in the ink surface across the extreme lower left corner. (An intermittent band of mottling in the lavender flower is a printing imperfection and not a condition defect.)
F68 - Two minute creases across the extreme upper sheet corners.
F69 - Good condition.
F70 - Good condition.
F71 - Minute wear at the extreme lower left sheet corner.
F72 - Minute wear at the extreme sheet corners. (Some stray black in the lower left flower is a printing imperfection and not a condition defect.)
F73 - A 1 1/4 inch handling crease across the lower left sheet corner has slightly broken the printed surface, and there is a 1/4 in. superficial loss in the ink surface showing the green ink below just above this on the left edge. Minute wear at the extreme upper sheet corners.
