Etching printed in dark brown, 1879-80, a fine impression of Kennedy's first state (of two), signed in pencil on the tab with the butterfly and inscribed 'imp', from the Second Venice Set, on laid paper, published by Dowdeswell & Dowdeswells, Publishers, Etc., London, framed

Condition

The print is in good condition. Two squares of pale discoloration (each measuring approx. 1 1/4 by 1 in.) at upper left and right from hinges verso, with a few inconspicuous fox marks verso showing through recto, a tiny tear at bottom right. The initials JB or LW in a square in pencil verso. The print was exhibited in a Sotheby's exhibition frame, but is sold with a separate wooden frame.
