Etching printed in dark brown, 1879-80, a very fine impression of Kennedy's ninth (final) state, with a veil of atmospheric plate tone in the water and sky, signed in pencil with the butterfly on the tab and inscribed 'imp', the verso with a second butterfly in pencil and the artist's tiny circle device, from the Second Venice Set, on laid paper with a Coat of Arms of Amsterdam watermark, framed

Condition

The print is in good condition, apart from scattered pale foxing verso. The print was exhibited in a Sotheby's exhibition frame, but is sold with a separate wooden frame.
