The ceramics are generally in good condition apart from small chips as detailed below: Visage - three old, tiny chips are visible from the front on the plate rim, further chips on the back rim, and three rubbed areas from prolonged contact with a plate stand. Oiseau sur la branche - a 7/8 inch chip in the curved lip at the tree branch, the exposed clay darkened over time to a tone close to the black paint of the branch. Two further tiny superficial chips at the ashtray edges and only visible upon close inspection. Têtes - three small chips in the lip of the pitcher, occasional minor surface soiling and further surface soiling inside the vessel.
