Two etchings, 1853-54, each the fourth state (of eight), on laid green paper, the second with the watermark Hudelist, together with; TOURELLE DE LA RUE TIXÉRANDERIE, PARIS (D. & W. 29), etching, 1852, the third state (of five), with an indecipherable collector's mark on the verso (not in Lugt), on fibrous, laid green paper, each framed (3 prints)

Condition

The prints are in good condition, apart from pale light-stain. Additional imperfections as follows: Le Styrge- the green paper tone attenuated, a mottled fox mark at upper right margin, the sheet edges discolored recto from remains of adhesive verso. The sheet softly rippled in lower margin, the verso with pale mat stain and scattered reverse foxing. Abside- Mottled foxing in the image at lower right and upper left. The margins with a few additional scattered fox marks and areas of surface soiling. The verso upper sheet edge skinned and with remains of adhesive, a tiny paper loss at upper right. Tourelle de la Rue- The print is in good condition with wide margins, the paper tone attenuated. A pale window of light-stain exists around the image, darkest at the mat opening, with two fox marks in the upper left margin. The upper and lower margins at left softly rippled. The verso with remains of hinges at top. These prints were exhibited in Sotheby's exhibition frames, but are sold with separate wooden frames.
