Description

  • pine, poplar, giltwood
  • 114cm. high, 296cm. wide, 92cm. deep; 3ft. 8¾in., 9ft. 8½in., 3ft. ¼in.
with three loose cushion seats, the pierced seat-rail carved with rocaille, scrolls and foliage, on four cabriole front legs

Condition

In overall good conserved condition. Colour of gilding less greenish more golden and attractive than in the catalogue photograph. Joints sound and sturdy. There are two iron stretchers beneath the frame to strengthen as three rear legs have replaced and left ungilded. Attractive detail to carving and some very minor chips to gilding some of which have been touched up in the past. Rare large size.
