- cinnabar lacquer box 37cm. by 37cm; 1ft. 2½in., 1ft. 2½in.
together with a polychrome lacquered box and cover, 20th century, (42.5cm. x 33cm.)
Condition
Cinnabar box: Colour slightly lighter and more attractive than in the photo.There is a hairline vertical construction crack down two corners but these are hardly noticeable. There is a tray inside that is removeable beautifully decorated with abalone shell inlay. Old very minor marks and chips which are hardly noticeable. In overall very good condition.
Polychrome lacquer box: Colour slightly lighter and more attractive than in photo. Old very minor marks and chips which are not too noticeable. There are some restored cracks in the top which have been well executed. In very good conserved condition.
