Condition

This portfolio was issued in an edition of 100, plus 15 lettered copies, of which this is number '91.' These photographs are in generally excellent condition. In raking light, occasional tiny deposits of original retouching are visible on some of the prints. The mounts, which are generally clean, are faintly discolored along the upper edges, perhaps where hinges or tape previously existed. The front matter is clean. The beige cloth clamshell box is very slightly soiled. Plates are as follows: White Branches, Mono Lake, California Arches, North Court, Mission San Xavier del Bac, Tucson, Arizona - There are 3 small vertical scratches that do not appear to break the emulsion in the upper left corner. Boards and Thistles, San Francisco, California Tree, Stump and Mist, Northern Cascades, Washington Gerry Sharpe, Ouray, Colorado Aspens, Northern New Mexico - Upon close examination in raking light, a few irregularly-shaped scratches are visible in the center and lower right corner. These scratches do not appear to break the emulsion and are not immediately apparent when viewing the print under normal conditions. Interior of Tumacacori Mission, Arizona - The printed erratum included with this portfolio states 'Tumacacori Mission is in Arizona, not in New Mexico as stated on the back of the photograph.' Cemetery Statue and Oil Derricks, Long Beach, California - There is a tiny white adhesion of indeterminate nature to the right of the statue. Half Dome, Blowing Snow, Yosemite National Park, California El Capitan, Sunrise, Winter, Yosemite National Park, California Sunrise, Mount Tom, Sierra Nevada, California - The lower print corners are bumped. Church, New Hampshire, 1975 (original Type 52/Polapan Polaroid) - The title is written in ink within the portfolio stamp.
